The kids and I went to the Public Market this morning. Rochester's was named the best in the US. Everyone else must have had the same idea today, because the place was packed! It took us about 30 minutes to find a parking spot! We got cheese curds and sharp provolone, giant cookies for the kids, zucchini, tomatoes, and a nice bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich for Noah. We saw Grace's friend Simon there with his Mom, Bridget. Even though the kids won't admit it, they had a good time.

Concerts - May 2011
We were lucky enough to go to both spring concerts at Plank North this year. Last week was Noah's orchestra performance, and Grace sang in the choir. Last night was Grace's band performance. Noah is having fun playing the cello (although not as much fun as playing lacrosse) and Grace thinks she will stick with clarinet next year in middle school.
Long Distance Meet - May 21, 2011
Grace swam in her first Long Distance meet where the pool is set up the long way for a 50m swim. She had a great time learning the ropes. Sorry, no good pictures! Swimming is a hard sport to photograph!
Prom 2011 - May 20, 2011
Our neighbor Krista attended her prom last weekend. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon, and the whole neighborhood turned out to see the girls arrive in their beautiful dresses and the guys in their great tuxes. Here from L to R is me, Grace, Liz, Maya, Krista, Jayne, Kathy, and Michele. We had fun watching the living vicariously through the kids!
Noah turns 10 - May 16, 2011
13 Relay - May 6 & 7, 2011
Stars on Ice - April 7, 2011
We went to see the Stars on Ice tour on April 7. I was lucky enough to get tickets through work which included a dinner and a meet & greet with the skaters beforehand. It was fun to see them close up and have a quick conversation with them. Here is a picture of Grace with her friend Mallory and Todd Eldredge!
CYO Basketball
Grace played CYO Basketball with the St. Rita's team this year. At the banquet, she was presented with the ACT award for her attitude, character, and teamwork. She was chosen for this by her teammates and coaches. Considering it was her first year playing (and she isn't Catholic), we were extra proud of her!
