Grace's team wins league lacrosse championship - January 8, 2012

Grace was invited to play on a team of 5th and 6th graders in the 7/8 league at TSE this winter. They didn't have an affiliation and called themselves "UnderEstimated" since no one really knew who they were or how they could play. The girls were undefeated going in to today's last game as was their opponent. They played the modified team from Webster Thomas - grades 7 and 8. The UnderEstimated team won by two goals in a hard fought game!

Noah hockey - January 8, 2012

Noah scored his first ever hat trick today in the game against the other Squirt B team from Webster. They won 7-1.

Fun on Maplewood Lane - January 8, 2012

Noah's friend Zac has a four wheeler and was taking advantage of the little bit of snow we got last night to pull some other kids around on a sled. You can see Noah in the back and their friend Conor running behind. Noah is wearing a helmet because they had done this last weekend, and Lou told him not to go on the road or he would crack his head open. Well when he came in that night, Noah had a huge scratch on his face from wiping out - in the road. So luckily Noah listened to Dad ... and had a great time in the process!

Noah hockey vs Batavia - January 7, 2012

We traveled 60 miles west to Batavia to watch Noah's hockey team play. Noah is now at center, and his team won 2-1. Noah scored both goals. He was excited to lead his team! Noah is in the yellow, #88, as his original jersey was WAY too big and is "in the shop" being downsized. He is thinking he might want to stay with this one though!

New Year's Day 2012

Shannon invited us to Syracuse to celebrate New Year's Day with them. We had a great dinner of roast and chicken divan. The cousins all had fun together. The weather was so mild that they spent a lot of the day outside.

New Year's Eve 2011

We were lucky enough to be invited to two parties this year. We first went to the Riders' house in Fairport. We have been celebrating New Year's Eve with them since 2004.

Then we went to the Kilians' house. That's Lori on the left with my friend Jen and me. These are the girls I ran the half marathon with last year and will do more running with in 2012!

Christmas with the McKenzies - December 26, 2011

You can see Mom with Alex who is now 12 and then all the cousins together - Grace, McKenzie, Noah, Alex, and Charlie. We had a fun day celebrating Christmas with the McKenzies!

Christmas at the Waidls' - 2011

We spent Christmas afternoon as always with the Waidls in Penfield. Joe and Deb, our hosts, are Lou's aunt and uncle. The pictures above show Lou and his godson Joey with Noah. Christmas Eve - December 24, 2011

We attended the 4pm service on Christmas Eve this year, and my mom came along to enjoy it with us. Afterward, my friend Lori took this great picture of everyone in front of the tree!

Grace holiday band concert - December 22, 2011

The holiday band concert was held at Spry Middle School, and Grace played second chair clarinet. That's her in the middle! My mom and Noah came along to support Grace.

Grace signed up for a meet and found out when we got there that she was the only swimmer from Webster participating. She made the most of it with all best times!

Germano get together - November 25, 2011

Lou's cousin Tony and his wife Jill hosted the Germano clan to an evening of fun and games after a nice dinner at Nick's SeaBreeze Inn in Irondequoit.

On the left are two pictures of two Grace Germanos! My Grace and her cousin Grace from CA - Richard's daughter. They hadn't seen each other in four years ... The picture of them together in 2007 at Hank's Ice Cream Shoppe is on top, and the picture of them from the Germano get together is on the bottom. (You probably could figure that out!)

The second picture is of Noah, Lou, and Lou's brother Richard who was visiting from California.
